Bobby Winner is a Licensed Surgical Assistant by the Texas Medical Board. He graduated first in his class at Virginia College at Austin with his Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology in 2004. With a desire and drive to be more involved with surgical procedures, he furthered his education and received his Certification as a Surgical First Assistant in 2006 and later was licensed in 2009. He brings over 14 years of surgical experience and a very versatile and strong wealth of knowledge regarding surgery and the surgical patient. From his inception into the operating room, Bobby has taught multiple surgical technologist students, been a preceptor for a surgical assistant and helped train countless Physician Assistants and medical students in every specialty including, but not limited to Plastics, General, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, ENT, Cardiothoracic, and Neuro/Spine. The majority of his time was spent assisting with plastic surgery procedures, over 7 years specifically with Dr. Staci Hix-Hernandez, where he honed his suturing and wound closure skills. He takes much pride in his work and his closures, and it shows. He was an active member of the Association of Surgical Technologists in 2004 and then became and still maintains anactive membership status in the Association of Surgical Assistants.Bobby was born and raised here in the great city of Austin, TX and has no intentions of leaving anytime soon. Since joining the Beleza Plastic Surgery team, he continues to learn and grow as a medical professional with training and updates on the latest implants, injections, technologies, and procedures, both surgical and non-surgical. He looks forward to helping find the best and most efficient option for each patient while taking into consideration their individual expectations and goals, all while striving for optimal results being achieved. When he’s not in the operating room, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, be it coaching on the volleyball court, out at the family ranch helping with the longhorns, or just about anything involving the outdoors. He’s an avid “gym-rat” and continues to work at living a healthy and fit lifestyle through proper diet and exercise.
